PT DAHANA (Persero) won ‘The Best State-Owned Enterprise in 2021’ award for the category of Non-Financial and Non Public Listed SOEs at the TOP BUMN Awards 2021 which was organized by Bisnis Indonesia media. The event was done in a hybrid way at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Jakarta, with zoom meeting, and broadcast live through Bisniscom’s Youtube channel, on Tuesday, November 30, 2021.
During the winner speech moment, PT DAHANA (Persero)’s President Director Wildan Widarman said that the appreciation from Bisnis Indonesia media was the result of the collaboration of all DAHANA people, from the board of commissioners, board of directors, and employees who have struggled amidst the pandemic, as well as consumers who have continuous trust on DAHANA’s products and services.
“Thank God for the trust that Bisnis Indonesia has given us. It is our hope that this will be our motivation to keep moving and developing even better,” said Mr Widarman.
In 2020, the state-owned company engaged in the explosives industry recorded a revenue of Rp 1.9 trillion, and carried out various innovations in service products, and management systems, such as production of Dawagel which is reliable in blasting complex rock structures, to implementation of Anti-bribery Management System(SMAP), and the construction of several explosives plants in support to the national independence in term of high energy materials industry.
During the SOEs Appreciation Day event under the theme “Accelerating Economic Recovery”, DAHANA was able to surpass 12 other non-financial non-public listed SOEs that were included in the jury’s assessment. The assessment is taken based on all of the company’s financial statements, to the company’s adaptation strategy amidst increasingly tight business competition.
In his remarks, President Commissioner of Bisnis Indonesia Hariyadi Sukamdani said, Bisnis Indonesia held another award ceremony for SOEs as a form of appreciation for the mass media to stakeholders. The SOEs carry a very important role for the economy, especially during the pandemic. The SOEs takes the roles as a public servant, and becomes a significant source of state revenue.
“We assess the company’s performance through a research by Bisnis Indonesia Consultant, on all company financial statements. The judging is carried out on two types of companies (financial and non-financial). We believe that this award serves as the barometer for the public and the government in term of objective assessment of SOEs,” said Mr Sukamdani.
