JAKARTA – In order to materialize the independence of Indonesia’s Defense and Security Equipment (Alpalhankam), PT DAHANA as a high energy materials industry collaborates with the Research and Development Center of the Indonesian National Police (Puslitbang Polri). The Collaboration  Agreement was jointly signed by the Director of Technology and Development of DAHANA, Suhendra Yusuf RPN, with the Head of the National Police Research and Development Center, Brigadier General of Police Iswyoto Agoeng Lesmana Doeta at the Veranda Hotel, Jakarta, on 16 September 2022.

Mr Yusuf said that DAHANAs Collaboration  Agreement with the National Police was a follow-up to the visit of the Head of the National Police Research and Development Center with 16 officers of the National Police Research and Development Center on November 30, 2021. During its process, the Collaboration Agreement between DAHANA and the National Police Research and Development Center was discussed in three meetings before it was finally signed by both parties.

“The target of this collaboration is to realize the independence of the Defense and Security Equipment for Community Security and Order and the commercialization of domestic defense products, in this case the increase of PT DAHANA’s business as a Defense Industry that is part of the SOE holding DEFEND ID,”   said Mr Yusuf.

Within the Collaboration Agreement, DAHANA and the Indonesian National Police Research and Development Center agreed to collaborate in the fields of research and product development as well as resource utilization. Apart from that, both parties will exchange experts, facilities, and infrastructure to support the success of Indonesia’s Defense and Security Guards independence.

PT DAHANA and the National Police Research and Development Center appointed an official as a liaison for the collaboration. DAHANA appointed a Senior Manager for Research, Innovation and Technology and the National Police represented by the Head of the Cooperation Subdivision  of the Research and Development Center Secretariat.

Products that have the potential for R&D between DAHANA and the National Police Research and Development Center, among others, are propellants for bullets, C4 explosives, pyrotechnic-based explosives such as for grenades, flares, and other explosives used by the Police, which will eventually lead to a mass production by the industry (DAHANA).

 “We and the National Police Research and Development Center agree that this collaboration does not stop at the research output; from the industrial point of view,  we are also oriented towards mass production of the results of these researches”

“It is our hope that the collaborative work that we have planned can run smoothly with the support of all parties,” concluded Mr Yusuf.
